From the Obama State Department and the U.S. Senate to Texas higher ed, ROBIN LERNER is a proven public servant prepared to make progress for Austinites in DISTRICT 49.
AUSTIN first. TEXAS Fierce.
Robin is an Austinite and lifelong public servant ready to defend our democracy, strengthen public education, and build opportunity for every Texan.
With 25 years of experience in government, law, legislation, women’s rights, industry, and higher education, Robin is an unprecedented first-time candidate for the Texas Legislature who will fight like hell for District 49.
“I have spent my career on the frontlines of democracy — working in war zones around the world and establishing elections from Kosovo to Baghdad. I know how to handle extremists, negotiate hard deals, and get the job done.
But here at home, today, I see the same patterns of authoritarianism I fought against overseas. I will not stand by and watch small-minded leadership take us backwards. Texas is the 8th largest economy in the world - we need to think BIG.
As a Longhorn and AISD mom who sits on the Ann Richards School Foundation board, I am running for the next generation, to defend their right to a strong democracy and a government that truly works for all.”
